GREGAN: WE WEREN'T GOOD ENOUGH

Posted on: Sat 21 Feb 2009

Captain Sean Gregan was brutally honest with his assessment of the away draw at Yeovil Town.

The influential defender admitted his side were not at their best and says they must work hard to gain results away from home.

Terrell Forbes' own goal secured a point and Gregan felt his side were lucky to benefit from the ex-Latic's misfortune.

"We didn't play well at all in the first half and we were very lucky to go in level, to be honest.

"The own goal was a lifeline.  We were struggling at 2-1 down but they let us back into the game with a goal we probably didn't deserve.

"We were a bit better in the second half but we need to up our game away from home if we are to get anywhere."

He added: "We know we have not been good away  but hopefully it will come right if we put the hard work and the hours in.

"Deane Smalley is disappointed in the dressing room after hitting the bar late on, but if it had gone in we probably wouldn't have deserved it to be honest."
