First-year League referee Carl Sarginson will take charge of his first-ever Latics game when Colchester United come calling this Saturday (KO 3pm).

Sarginson impressed in the Blue Square Premier last year, and his reward was a place on the League referee's list for the 2008/09 campaign.

He didn't show a red card in 17 matches last season and booked 49 players in non-league's top flight.

This season, Sarginson has officiated in 22 fixtures, showing 77 yellow cards and sending off seven players, including three in his last two games.
