CROCKED TAYLOR MISSES OUT

Posted on: Sat 07 Mar 2009

Andy Liddell will step into the starting line-up for this afternoon's game against Colchester United at Boundary Park in the absence of Chris Taylor.

The midfielder picked up a calf injury against Leeds United on Monday and failed a late fitness test this morning, so Liddell will step in on the right flank with Deane Smalley moving left.

Elsewhere Lee Hughes and Steven Kabba continue up front, while Danny Whitaker returns to the bench.

Latics: Fleming, Eardley, Jones, Hazell, Gregan, Smalley, Liddell, Allott, Maher, Hughes, Kabba.

Subs: Hines, Whitaker, Windass, Alessandra, Budtz.

Meanwhile Colchester have named the following side:

Cousins, Coyne, Gillespie, Hammond, Platt, Izzet, Baldwin, Perkins, Maybury, Hackney, Tierney.

Subs: White, Wasiu, Vernon, Wordsworth, Gerken.
