Manager Dave Penney has added two more friendlies to the pre-season schedule, oldhamathletic.co.uk can confirm.

Penney will use his squad in two away games - at Stalybridge Celtic and Bradford Park Avenue - sandwiched between the senior home clashes with Sunderland and Blackpool.

Athletic will travel to Celtic's Bower Fold on Tuesday, July 28 (KO 7.30pm) for a pre-season run-out at the venue where the reserve team will play a number of league and cup games in 2009/10.

Then another squad will head to Bradford Park Avenue the following day (Wednesday, July 29, KO 7.30pm) before the final friendly against Blackpool on August 1.  The season starts on August 8.

Club officials are currently in the process of arranging one final game at the beginning of the schedule, taking the total number of pre-season friendlies to 8.  See below for the schedule so far.
