LEE IS LATICS' MR VERSATILE
Kieran Lee's versatility is proving a massive asset for Latics.
The 21-year-old is currently helping out in the problematic right-back spot in the absence of Andy Holdsworth, Kelvin Lomax, Alex Marrow and Jim Goodwin.
Lee is certainly a man for all seasons as he has also played at left back as well as in a number of positions in his more favoured midfield berth.
Manager Dave Penney is delighted with the way in which Lee has settled in at right back in recent weeks.
He said: "The right-back position has been a problem with four or five players ruled out.
"Kieran is versatile and has played right back before as well as on the left, though he will probably say his best postion is in the centre of midfield, an area we are well off for players at the moment.
"I cannot tell you what his best position is, but he is a good footballer who can play in a variety of positions. You can see that when he plays right back as his distribution from the back has been excellent."
