Tickets For Troops is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Football League to provide free tickets to members of our Armed Forces this season. This will provide an opportunity for our troops to go and see their local teams all over the country.

This will create a fantastic chance for the clubs to back the Army, Royal Navy and Royal Airforce and thank them for all their hard work.

Gavin Megaw, Director of External Affairs at The Football League, said: "Football League clubs have a longstanding close relationship with the Armed Forces, and it is great to see Oldham Athletic FC supporting Tickets For Troops in this way.The charity is a fantastic way of giving something back to our servicemen and women and The Football League is proud to be making a contribution to that effort."

Tickets For Troops Chairman, Lord Marland said: "Tickets For Troops has benefited from a great wave of generosity from our ticket donors who have wanted to demonstrate their support and show their appreciation for the dedication and commitment of the marvellous men and women of our Armed Forces. I would like to thank The Football League for their kind and fantastic support in establishing this new relationship which enables troops from all corners of the country to support their local team."

Tickets For Troops has teamed up with a wide range of organisations and has been able to offer free tickets to a huge number of high profile events, recently these have included tickets for Tottenham Hotspur, England vs Hungary, as well as the Silverstone Grand Prix.

The charity was set up last year to provide members of the Armed Forces with free tickets for major sporting events including football, horse racing, rugby, darts and cricket matches as well as theatre performances, music concerts and cultural attractions. Since launching it has provided over 200,000 tickets and almost 60,000 troops have registered on the website - www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk

This initiative has attracted maximum support from a host of Patrons, including Dave Whelan, Gary Lineker, and Jeremy Clarkson.
