LATICS SIGN SUNDERLAND DUO

Posted on: Thu 05 Aug 2010
Latics have made a double transfer swoop little over 48 hours before the start of the npower League One campaign.

Player-manager Paul Dickov has signed Sunderland pair Jean Yves M'voto and Oumare Tounkare on season-long loans.

M'Voto is no stranger as the 21-year-old central defender scored against Latics last season while on a six-month loan at Southend United.

The 21-year-old joined Sunderland from Paris St Germain in January 2008 signing a three-and-a-half year contract.

M'Voto, who was born in Paris, made 41 first-team appearances for PSG during his three years at the club.

Tounkare, who is also aged 21 and also Paris born, joined Sunderland from French second division side CS Sedan at the start of last season. He has featured in two first-team friendlies.

Look out soon for exclusive interviews with the new players.
