While teenager Tom Eaves was completing a high-profile move to Bolton Wanderers, another youngster was slipping out of Boundary Park unnoticed to join another Premier League side.

Liverpool have snapped up Iaia Embarlo, a 14-year-old Portuguese striker who attended Latics' centre of excellence.

Latics have received an initial fee of £25,000 while there are further add ons in the event of Embarlo going on to bigger and better things.
