Paul Dickov believes he has found a winner after Congolese international footballer Rodrigue Dikaba signed for Latics on a short-term contract.

The 24-year-old, who usually plays right back, has impressed the Latics manager during trials at Boundary Park.

"His attitude is spot on, he is hungry and a very good defender. And he also fits the bill in being a good age," he explained.

Dikaba was born in Toulouse, France, and played for Arras and AS Beauvais Oise before last season having a spell at Romanian Premier League team Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt.

He has won nine caps for the Democratic Republic Congo having made his debut against Gabon in March 2008.

Dikaba is named in Latics' 20-man squad for tomorrow's npower League One top-of-the-table clash at Charlton Athletic.
