Deane Smalley has won a place in Latics' 20-man squad for tomorrow's npower League One top-of-the-table clash at Charlton Athletic.

It is the striker's first senior call of the campaign with his absence caused by surgery to repair a groin injury.

Smalley proved his fitness playing 75 minutes for the reserves against Burnley on Tuesday.

Newly-signed Congolese international signing Rodrigue Dikaba joins Smalley as the two additions to the squad which was on duty at home to Notts County last Saturday while Sean Gregan drops out as he strives to regain match sharpness after a pre-season lay-off.
