Latics have found their new-found name the 'Galacdickovs' amusing following their successful start of their npower League One campaign.

It was Charlton who described Paul Dickov's team as that name in a feature in last Saturday's matchday programme.

Latics decided to exploit the name - Galacticos was originally used to described Real Madrid's galaxy of superstars - commercially by producing a special tee shirt which will be on sale tomorrow at WE ARE LATICS priced £9.99.

The tee shirt features Dean Furman, Ritchie Jones and Reuben Hazell celebrating Dale Stephens' second goal in the opening-day win at Tranmere.

Chief Executive Alan Hardy said: "It was Charlton who called us Galacdickovs and we have found it amusing rather than anything serious.

"The tee shirt was produced for a bit of fun and the last thing the players think is that they are superstars."
