BBC Five Live are to present their sports programme from Boundary Park on Saturday.

In the absence of Premier League and Championship football, the spotlight falls on the lower divisions.

BBC chief contacted Latics a couple of weeks ago to say they had short-listed them to be the venue from which their sports programme would be broadcast on Saturday, September 4th.

They confirmed this afternoon they will be here for their six-hour show on Saturday when Latics play host to Bristol Rovers.

The programme will be hosted by Mark Chapman and there will be pre-match interviews with manager Paul Dickov, chief executive Alan Hardy while there will also be a roving reporter pitch side, though there will not be live commentary of the npower League One match.
