Danny Bell has finally been given the all-clear to play for Latics.

The young midfield player's international clearance has been secured after a two-month wait.

New FIFA requirements stipulate international clearance must be obtained for young players still deemed as minors.

In the case of Bangor-born Bell, this protracted process has involved FIFA along with the Football Association and Wales FA.

Bell has been at Boundary Park since early July but been unable to play any competitive matches for the youth team.

Latics are still waiting for clearance for two more of their scholars as Ryan Burns and Carl Winchester need authorisation from FIFA, the FA and Northern Ireland FA.
