Latics took flight from Airbus UK with three points following their totesport.com League win against Wrexham.

French triallist Julian Cherel's first-half header and second-period strikes from Andy Crompton (pictured),  Rod McDonald and Jon Worthington earned Latics victory which could have been by an even wider margin bearing in mind their dominance.

Connor Hughes replaced Joe Jacobson at the break as the youngster was given another 45-minute runout..

Deane Smalley had a couple of decent attempts at goal for Latics while Jamie Tolley's drive for Wrexham flew narrowly wide of the upright.

Latics had to wait until the 70th minute before doubling their advantage following a great move.

Hughes' great crossfield pass released Paris Cowan-Hall who cut in from the right before cutting the ball back for Crompton to slot home the easiest of finishes.

That was quickly followed by a third goal as left-back McDonald fired home from close range after Wrexham failed to clear a corner,

Latics added a fourth goal after 81 minutes when Worthington ran on to a short pass and curled in a delightful shot low to the left of keeper Danny Ward.
