Oldhamathletic.co.uk and Trust Oldham launched a competition at the end of 2009 to find the best Oldham-snowman around and as the snow continues to fall in Oldham we have a winner!

We had some fantastic entries, such as this one from Karen Sykes:

This one from Dylan, aged 7, also caught the judge's eye:

Dylan wanted to thank Stitch the Bear for his help in creating Chris "the snowman" Taylor!

With such amazing snowmen to choose from it was a difficult selection process, and the runner up was not a snowman as much as a snow army! Thanks to the Simpson family for this huge effort:

But in the end there could only be one winner, and after a hard fought contest that was "Danny" the snowman, created by Jake and his dad Jason on Sunday as a treat after they got stuck in the snow on the way home from Wycombe:
