Michael Pearson signed a one-year extension to his deal in summer 2007.
Now contracted until the end of the 2007/08 campaign, Pearson is a graduate of the successful Boundary Park youth set-up.
A member of 2005/06's Championship-winning youth side, Pearson featured regularly in the reserves during 2006/07 and made his debut as a late substitute against Millwall in February 2007.
Michael -- who can operate in either defence or midfield -- is a Welsh international, and has represented his country at U15 and U16 level.
Pearson joined Blue Square Premier outfit Farsley Celtic on loan in October 2007, returning to the club shortly before Christmas.
