Craig Davies completed a permanent move back from Italy when he joined Latics in summer 2007.
The striker spent the 2006/07 season on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers from Italian side Hellas Verona.
That spell at Molineux included two goals against Latics -- one in each of the two FA Cup ties between the two sides in January 2007.
A former Manchester City trainee, Davies began his professional career at Oxford United, scoring 8 goals in 29 appearances.
The player's form brought him to the attention of Serie B outfit Verona, who paid £85,000 to take him to the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi.
However, Davies made just one appearance for the Italians before joining Wolves on loan.
Latics paid an undisclosed fee to Verona to acquire the player's services.
Davies has been capped three times by Wales, making his international debut against Slovenia in 2005.
