Alex was promoted to the full Reserves squad for the 2008/09 season, and in January 2009 he signed a deal which would keep him at Rovers until summer 2011.
Marrow has featured once for the Rovers first team, in their pre-season friendly match against Cambridge United, in July 2009.
He joined Latics on a month-long loan deal in August 2009, before having this quickly extended by boss Dave Penney. Alex will now remain at Latics until January 2010.
He scored his first goal for the club in the 2-2 draw at home to Swindon Town, on August 22, and continues to play a key role in the Latics side.
