Latics reserves face Manchester City in the Manchester Senior Cup at Eastlands tonight with a 7pm kick off.

Latics defeated Blackpool in their last outing in an end-to-end contest which was won by a last minute strike by Nick Blackman, Paul Black and Laquan Esdaile-Biney (2) bagging the others for Athletic.

Boss Lee Duxbury has named an experienced side for the tie, including Dean Brill and Keigan Parker, who between them have made 35 starts for the Latics first team this season, Parker scoring twice.

However the squad is without David Kalnoki-Kis, Patrik Tischler and Norbert Csiki after all three returned to Hungary for treatment on ongoing injuries (read more here) and Liam Dawson, who has extended his stay with Nantwich by a further month (read more here).
