The 24-year-old joined Latics on loan until the end of the season, having scored 50 goals in 114 National League appearances.
Andrew started his career with Rangers, before spending two seasons with Cambridge United in League Two.
After a successful loan spell with Weymouth, the Scotsman joined Solihull, enjoying two successful seasons at Damson Park, scoring 19 in his debut campaign and making the play-off final with the Moors.
13 goals the following campaign encouraged Chesterfield to take him in on loan at the end of last season, as he helped the Spireites to the National League play-off final.
