CO-OP Uppermill Support Toy Appeal
The CO-OP in Uppermill is now a donation point for the 2023 Toy Appeal, begining a new partnership between Oldham Athletic Community Trust & CO-OP Uppermill.
If you would like to get involved in the toy appeal, all you need to do is buy a present for a child aged 1-17 and we’ll make sure it finds its way to a child who may not expect one. Please note that all toys donated must be brand new and do not need to be pre-wrapped.
The donation points for the Toy Appeal is within the Oldham Athletic club shop & CO-OP Uppermill.
Sadly, there are lots of vulnerable children across Oldham who will be going with very little or nothing this year. We are supporting Oldham Council to make the magic go further by making sure the most vulnerable children in Oldham, have the chance to enjoy the festive period.
As part of the collection fans can donate items at both the fixture against Ebbsfleet United (25th November 3pm KO) and Boreham Wood (2nd December 3pm KO) by heading to the club shop. In addition, donations can be made on non-matchdays within the club shop or CO-OP Uppermill during opening hours up until Friday 8th December 2023.
Martin Vose, OACT Head of Community, commented: “With so many families struggling this year, it is more important than ever that we receive donations. We appreciate that it is a tough time for everyone at the moment, but if you can donate just one gift it would really help.
By working with Oldham Council we can work collaboratively to ensure that all gifts donated go directly to families in the most need this Christmas, working towards the aim that no child goes without.
We are also delighted to launch a new partnership with the CO-OP in Uppermill, with the partnership begining with their support on our toy appeal. With the stores genrous support, we can now offer a second donation point which helps those who don't live as close to the stadium to still help the Toy appeal and donate to a good cause”.
