Charity Spotlight:

POINT join us as our charity spotlight for the Oldham Athleti fixture this weekend!

POINT is an Oldham based charity established in 2010 by 4 parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities.  Our driving mission was to ensure that parents and carers had access to meaningful information, advice, and peer support, whilst enabling their voices to be heard to drive change and shape better services.

Since our launch, membership of POINT has grown significantly from 45 to over 3500 members and having gained registered charity status in 2015, POINT now delivers a wide range of Information, Advice and Support Services for, and with, families of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

All employees and volunteers of POINT are committed to deliver improved outcomes for children and young people, enabling them to reach their full potential and live ordinary and fulfilling lives.

POINT's mission is to ensure that our work with families:

  • Delivers person centered support which enable improved outcomes and opportunities for children and young people and their families.
  • Promotes an inclusive society through the development of co-production and partnership working.
  • Empowers parents, children, and young people by developing their confidence, resilience and knowledge.
  • Deliver a culture of peer support to reduce social isolation.

Tuck Shop:

The tuckshop will be OPEN in the family stand on the 16th of March selling all your favourite crisps, chocolate and sweets!
