Charity Spotlight

We recently welcomed Greater Manchester Blood Bikes to Boundary Park as our Matchday Charity Spotlight on the 9th of September when OAFC played Dorking Wanderers at home.

On the 23rd of September when Oldham host newly promoted Oxford City, we welcome Kingfisher Learning Trust as our Charity Spotlight.

Kingfisher Learning Trust was set up as a Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) on 1st September 2016 by the then Kingfisher Community Special School. The Kingfisher Community Special School is now an Academy called Kingfisher Special School. Kingfisher Special School has been recognised as outstanding by Ofsted three times in 2007; 2010 and 2014 with no identified areas for improvement.

Kingfisher is a values-led Trust, where innovative approaches help support children in getting ready for and engaging in learning. The organisation is continually developed with a clarity of expectation for high aspirations and an understanding of why we do what we do (underpinning rationales). Kingfisher’s vision is for ‘Endless Possibilities’; nothing but the best will do. In practice, Kingfisher Trust wishes to work with a range of schools as they join the Trust to develop values, ethos and vision towards a high aspirational quality for all learners, ensuring the building blocks of good practice are in place. Strong, skilled and diverse leadership with a clarity of purpose and direction are key.

Kingfisher Learning Trust will be at the game on the 23rd raising funds for all their great work so please donate if you can, and you will also see the first team warming up in Kingfisher Learning Trust branded t-shirts to raise awarenes of the organisation.
