Oldham Athletic Community Trust (OACT), supported by local schools from across the borough, have launched a brand new initiative to assist Oldham Foodbank with their local appeal.

As part of every competition for the remainder of the school year, delivered through the Premier League Primary Stars project, schools participating in the event will be allocated a specific food item to collect and then donate. The aim of the initiative is to do our part to ensure that no one in our local community has to go hungry.

Emily Ashworth, School Engagement Manager, commented: “We are delighted to partner with Oldham Foodbank as part of this brand new initiative and continue our support to help those in need within Oldham.

The foodbank relies on the goodwill and support of the people of Oldham to help their fellow Oldhamers, we would therefore like to say a huge thank you to our fantastic partner schools for taking part in this initiative which will help to make a big difference.”
