This month we welcomed Noah, Luke, Max, Robyn, Reid, Ruby, Olivia, Xander, Reggie, Frankie, Emily, Alice and Nicolas to Boundary Park for our matches against Maidenhead, Dagenham & Redbridge and Altrincham as part of our 2023/24 mascot matchday experience.

Check out the highlights below from the mascots that joined us for the Altrincham game

October Soccer School:

October saw the return of our Soccer Schools and the final soccer schools of 2023! The soccer schools are becoming a huge part of childrens half term plans with plenty of returning faces each time, as well as seeing a number of new young people for the first time who we hope will return to see us in 2024!

We had the pleasure of being joined by three Oldham Athletic Players; Alex Reid, James Norwood, Mark Kitching. The 3 players helped us host our tournament final with Team Norwood taking on Team Kitching, with Alex Reid as special guest referee! What the video below to see which team came out victorius!

Player Engagement Continues!

Josh Lundstram, Mike Fondop, Brennan Dickinson, Kieoran Freeman, Magnus Norman and Joe Nuttall visited Delph primary, St Edwards school and Hodge Clough this month to host #PLPrimaryStars Education Activiations. Topics varied at each school with subjects such as resilience, healthy eating and aspirations being discussed between pupils and the players to help the children with their perosnal development and learning from professional athletes around the subject.

A huge thank you to all the players for visiting schools with us this month!

This opportunity is exclusive to #OACTSchoolPartners! Email Emily.Ashworth@oact.org.uk to find our more.

Smart Energy GB Support:

We have worked with My Great Place recently to support our Smart Energy GB project, with Chaddy coming along to check out their weekly community fridge and spend time to distribute smart meter information packs to everyone who attended to support them with looking at ways to save money on their energy bills with a cold winter ahead!

As well as this, We visited the EFL Trust at EFL House alongside other North West CCO’s to discuss Smart Energy GB and how to support our community with learning more about the benefit of Smart Meters to help our local community.
