The Academy Manager is Phil Arbelo-Dolan.

Phil over the course of the season works tirelessly on overseeing the successful running of the men’s and women’s programme driving for high standards.

When the club was relegated from the EFL and lost it’s EPPP status, Phil essentially had to build the academy up from scratch, and with over 80 students in the 2024-25 season that just shows the remarkable work he does and how the programme continues to go from strength to strength.

The Academy Manager is Phil Arbelo-Dolan.

Since promotion from the National League the club has gained Category 3 status, and the club is preparing for the season back as a full-time professional academy.

Another name that will be all the familiar to Latics fans is that of Danny Philliskirk.

Coming through the academy here, Danny has gone on to have a successful career playing for the likes of Latics, Blackpool and AFC Fylde.

Danny is our Youth Team manager and is a UEFA A qualified coach, he has the skills and qualities to develop the club’s young talent and is an excellent role model for any aspiring footballers.
