Oldham Athletic Community Trust seeks New Partners to help create a ‘A Better Oldham’

Oldham Athletic Community Trust (OACT) is inviting organisations to partner with the charity and invest in a range of proven community programmes that are delivering real, measurable impact across Oldham.

As the official charity of Oldham Athletic AFC, OACT offers flexible partnership opportunities that support Corporate Social Responsibility priorities, strengthen brand visibility, and directly improve outcomes for people of all ages across the borough.

Current partnership opportunities available for discussion include:

  • Headline OACT Flagship Sponsor – £20,000

  • Community Stand Sponsor – £12,000

  • Inclusion Partner – £10,000

  • CPR Programme in all Oldham Schools – £2,500 per annum

  • Girls’ and Women’s Football Pathway – £5,000

  • Soccer Schools – £10,000

  • Health and Wellbeing Partner – £10,000

  • Matchday Partner – £5,000

In striving to help create ‘A Better Oldham’, everything OACT delivers is designed to tackle inequality, strengthen communities, and create positive opportunities for individuals, families, schools, and organisations throughout the town.

The effectiveness of this work is evidenced in OACT’s Impact Report 2025 and Beyond, which demonstrates how partner investment directly translates into meaningful outcomes.

During 2025 alone, OACT:

  • Engaged over 5,000 children each week through its Primary Schools Programme

  • Inspired 3,750 children via the National League Promotion Trophy Tour

  • Supported 480 young people through free Premier League Kicks sessions

  • Delivered 2,803 places through Soccer Schools and holiday provision

  • Provided 144 hours of free adult football through Just Play

  • Ran eight Silver Latics sessions supporting residents aged 55+

  • Achieved national recognition for inclusion work, winning the Women in Football – Promoting Inclusion Award 2025

Beyond the numbers, OACT’s programmes create confidence, reduce isolation, promote healthier lifestyles, and open up pathways for people who may otherwise face barriers to participation.

The year also saw the launch of new initiatives including a Home Education Pilot, an expanded Girls’ and Women’s Football Pathway, and the formation of a Walking Football team. Partnerships with schools, community groups, and local families continue to grow, supported by the appointment of Oldham Athletic Chairman Frank Rothwell OBE as OACT’s official Patron.

Adrian Stores, Commercial and Fundraising Manager at OACT, said:

“Competition for discretionary spend has never been more intense, which makes it vital for charities to clearly demonstrate both impact and value. Our programmes are tried, tested, and trusted, and we offer partners genuine flexibility. We simply start with an informal conversation to explore how collaboration could deliver mutual benefit. Given our growth plans and ambitions for 2026 now is the perfect time to talk.”

Organisations interested in partnering with Oldham Athletic Community Trust, or those wishing to recommend a potential partner, are encouraged to get in touch for an informal, no-obligation discussion.
