MATCH PREVIEW: Oldham Athletic vs. Bradford City

2 February 2018

Oldham Athletic host Bradford City in Sky Bet League One tomorrow afternoon (3pm kick off).

Latics come into the game on the back of a 1-2 defeat against Plymouth Argyle and they are looking for a response tomorrow afternoon.

An own goal got Latics back into the game last week but that was not enough to take any points from the game.

Athletic still sit in the relegation places but they know a win tomorrow could put them on the brink of getting out of danger.

Bradford head into the game in bad form themselves but still occupy a play off position.

After being dumped out of the FA Cup by lower league opposition, they are currently on a four game losing streak.

They suffered a heavy home defeat last week as they were beaten 0-4 by AFC Wimbledon.

They do, however, still sit fifth in Sky Bet League One and have picked up 48 points from their 30 games this season.

Speaking ahead of the game, Wellens said: “It’s not always easy to say that it’s a good time to play them.

“They’ll be smarting from a home defeat by AFC Wimbledon and they’ll want a reaction.

"They’ve made three signings so the team will change and that might give them a lift.

“They’re a very good club, it will be a difficult game but I’m hoping that the atmosphere here will be lifted and will be a bit better than it has been in recent weeks.

“There will be lot of fans here and I’m hoping they can lift our players as well.”

Sky Bet have listed Athletic as favourites for tomorrow’s game at 6/4 whilst the visitors are 7/4.
