Oldham Athletic entertain Leicester City under 21s in the last 16 of the Checkatrade Trophy this evening (7.30pm kick off)l

Athletic head into the game without a win in seven games and looking to gain their first victory of 2018.

Richie Wellens' side have enjoyed a good run in this competition so far, picking up two group stage wins and one knockout victory. 

They beat Bradford City 1-0 in the last round courtesy of a strike from Tope Obadeyi. 

Leicester City come into the game with two wins in this competition, one in the group stage and one in the knockout round. 

They beat Scunthorpe United 2-1 at Glanford Park, a game which included £50 million pounds worth of talent. 

Steve Beaglehole is the man in charge of Leicester City under 21s and they are going well in their league.

They are expected to field a number of recognisable over 21 players this evening. 

The winner of the game will face a trip to Shrewsbury Town.

Sky Bet have listed Athletic as outsiders for tomorrow’s match at 8/5 whilst the visitors 6/4.
