Oldham Athletic have been knocked out of the Lancashire FA Senior Cup, after losing on penalties against Barrow at Holker Street.
The hosts opened the scoring after just three minutes when Jamie Hodgson played the ball over the top to Jack Handle and he found the back of the net from a tight angle.
Minutes later, Urko Vera should have scored after intercepting a pass from a Barrow defender, but his shot went just wide of the net.
Latics equalised in the 18th minute as Banide’s side applied pressure and Dom McHale had his strike saved before Jonny Smith followed up and slotted it into an empty net.
Oldham then took the lead just before half-time when Jonny Smith raced down the left-wing before crossing into the box and Josh Granite put it into the back of his own net.
Morgan Penfold capitalised on a loose pass from Sonhy Sefil in the penalty area but his effort went just wide of the goal.
After half-time, Johan Branger-Engone produced a great piece of skill to slot Ashley Smith-Brown clean through on goal but his attempt goes over the net.
Jack Hindle found himself in the Latics penalty area but Gregor Zabret stood strong to deny the forward from close range.
Azankpo extended the lead after he raced clean through on goal and slotted it past Brad Wade and into the box corner of the goal.
Urko Vera had the ball in the back of the net again, but the offside flag was raised by the linesman.
In the 75th minutes, Latics gave a penalty away and Jack Hindle scored from the penalty spot.
The Bluebirds pulled themselves level as Morgan Penfold found himself through on goal and his effort deflected off Jamie Stott and went over Gregor Zabret and into the back of the net to send the game to penalties.
Barrow won the penalty shoot-out 12-11.
