Manager praises on-loan winger
Paul Dickov has praised loan signing Lee Croft who has a new lean look.Latics' manager is impressed how the winger has knuckled down to regain fitness after a lengthy lay off.
Croft, who is on a season-long loan from Derby County, missed the final two months of last season through a serious hamstring injury.
By the time he joined up with Latics pre-season, Croft had been out of action for four months.
Dickov said: "Lee has worked ever so hard and has lost one stone in the four weeks he has been with us, though we still want him to shed a bit more.
"Lee is a Championship player at least. We know we can get the best out him and he also knows that.
"We have to keep giving him the ball. When we are on top in games, we have to keep giving the ball to players who can win you games such as Lee.
"We did that in the opening half against Sheffield Wednesday, but failed to do so in the second period."
