Another good pre-season workout
Latics had another useful pre-season workout as they held npower Championship club Huddersfield Town to a goalless draw at Boundary Park.It was a match of few clear-cut chances with both defences on top.
Latics goalkeeper Alex Cisak and centre-half Jean-Yves M'voto both had excellent games to help preserve a clean sheet.
Cisak made two good first-half saves while M'voto went closest to scoring as a header from a corner flew narrowly wide.
The second half improved as a spectacle as Dean Furman and Youssouf M'Changama took a grip on midfield.
Latics' only failing was in front of goal as they rarely looked like scoring.
Huddersfield brought on Jordan Rhodes, their 40-goal top scorer last season, but he never looked like hitting the target thanks to M'voto's resolute defensie play.
