Good workout against Toon
Latics reserves were beaten 2-1 by Newcastle United in this afternoon's behind-closed doors friendly at Chapel Road.Manager Paul Dickov described it as a good workout for his side which included squad players, trialists and scholars.
Trainees Joe Cooper, Luke Wandless, Chris Sutherland and Tomos Jones all played the second half of the game.
The senior players involved included Dean Bouzanis (pictured), Connor Brown, David Mellor, Connor Hughes, Carl Winchester, Matt Smith and Daniel Taylor.
Latics' goal was scored by a trialist.
