Special link celebrates 30th anniversary
A group of 30 Latics' supporters recently paid a visit to Frankfurt for the home Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen which they won 4-1.
'Two Teams, One Spirit' is the symbol of a long-lasting friendship between Latics' fans and two Eintracht Frankfurt supporters' clubs which has celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Latics' fans are pictured on their arrival in Frankfurt.
Norwegian Pedersen had spells with both Latics and Frankfurt during his career.
Apart from watching the game, the Frankfurt fans handed a framed photograph of Tore Pedersen to Latics' supporters.
Soon after the two groups started visiting each other to watch matches and also for social events, World Cups and other festivities.
The fan clubs from EFC Bockenheim and Rhönadler met Latics' supporters during an international fan club football tournament back in 1982.
