Pair pick up knocks in derby
Jose Baxter and Reece Wabara both picked up knocks last night as Latics' home npower League One derby defeat against Bury became even more painful.Manager Paul Dickov revealed that Baxter (pictured) was substituted 19 minutes from time through injury.
He explained the 20-year-old striker was caught by a thigh-high challenge in the opening period.
Baxter, who sustained what is known as a "dead leg" played on but felt the muscles tightening which is why he was withdrawn>
Dickov also disclosed that Wabara hurt his foot, but it does not appear to be serious.
