Dickov's call to arms for cup tie
Paul Dickov has called on Latics' fans to be the team's extra man in tomorrow's FA Cup with Budweiser, second-round match against Doncaster Rovers.Latics' manager is well aware of the importance of having the backing of fans for what has been described as their most important match of the season.
Dickov, who has referred to the tie as being their cup final, said: "It is a big game for many reasons including financial ones to the club.
"I know it is tough with Christmas just around the corner, but we would appreciate as many fans as possible attending as they can also play their part and be our extra man."
Dickov added the magic of the FA Cup remains, especially for clubs in npower League One.
He continued: "I remember how special the atmosphere was in last season's FA Cup second-round replay against Southend United.
"We already knew we would be playing Liverpool by the time of the replay and it was a special night."
