Danny in action for Wales
Latics' Centre of Excellence player Danny Byrnes has been named in the Wales under-16's squad for Friday's Victory Shield match against Northern Ireland.The match takes place at Ballymena Showground, kick off 7.35pm, and is being televised live on Sky Sports.
Byrnes, an attacking midfield player, recently played for Wales under-16's against England.
His inclusion in the Wales squad means he is unable to be involved in Latics' FA Youth Cup tie tomorrow against Coventry.
Byrnes made an appearance as a substitute in the first-round victory against Accrington Stanley.
