Coaches here to study

Latics have hosted a study group from the Danish Football Association.

The party of 30 coaches, mainly from semi professional and amateur football, spent time with Latics during a six-day tour.

They attended Centre of Excellence training at Cardinal Langley RC High School, Middleton, yesterday.

And this afternoon they were at Boundary Park where, after a ground tour, they were given a presentation by Centre of Excellence manager Mick Priest who has close links with the Danish FA.

The group arrived on Wednesday and took in the Manchester City v Real Madrid Champions League match and earlier today watched Manchester City under-21's play Crystal Palace at Hyde.

They are at Old Trafford tomorrow for Manchester United v QPR and then head to South Wales to join up with Danish legend Michael Laudrup at Swansea City before returning home on Monday.

It is not the first time the Danish FA have visited Boundary Park as a similar study group did so about five years ago.
