Keeper needs to be playing games

Paul Dickov has given his blessing to Alex Cisak's loan move to npower League One rivals Portsmouth.

Latics' manager says the out-of-favour Aussie 'keeper needs to be playing games, something he has failed to do over the last two months.

Dickov said: "Both Alex and ourselves will benefit from him playing on a regular basis at Portsmouth.

"Dean Bouzanis has done fantastically well since coming into the team.

"If anything happens to Dean and we need to put Alex back in the team, we have a 24-hour recall clause and he will have been playing."

Cisak will takeover from Dane Mikkel Andersen who has returned to Barclays Premier League club Reading after a three-month loan.

Cisak started the season as Latics' No 1 before losing his place to Bouzanis in mid-September.

Since joining Latics in the summer of 2011, Cisak has made 53 first-team appearances.
