Andrew designs SodaShield

Latics fan and entrepreneur Andrew Procter has turned inventor.

The former resident of Grasscroft has designed and developed the SodaShield, a stylish, resealable and reusable lid that fits many styles of drink, soda and beer cans.

And because of his love of Latics, Andrew has customised a batch which carry the club's crest.

They are on sale in the WE ARE LATICS club shop priced £3.50.

It was while living in Brisbane, Australia, that Andrew came up with the idea of the SodaShield to prevent flies and bugs from getting into drinks cans.

The SodaShield has taken taken several years to develop commercially.

Andrew says it increases hygiene, reduced leaks and spills, prevents foreign objects entering the drink and helps retain the fizz in carbonated drinks.
