Baxter dedicates win to Latics' manager
Match-winner Jose Baxter dedicated Latics' npower League One win at Hartlepool to under-pressure manager Paul Dickov.
The former Everton striker (pictured), who scored both goals in a 2-1 victory at Victoria Park, said: "The manager has stuck by us throughout our bad patch and it was thanks from the lads.
"He hasn't dropped anybody or bad mouthed us and has stuck by us all. He is a top manager."
Baxter also praised the spirit on the team as they battled to the end at Victoria Park snatching victory in stoppage time.
He explained: "When we went through our bad patch and, when teams scored against us, our heads at times went down and on another day we might have lost that game.
"We have been working all week on never giving up and we showed lots of desire and scored at the end."

Baxter said Latics' enthusiasm and desire to win the ball back brought about his opening goal.
"Matt Derbyshire did great work to set me up like he does for me every week," he said.
Baxter also revealed that he was distracted for his penalty miss as he had been contemplating another of his cheeky chips.
He explained: "I was going to do the chip but I heard one of their lads shouts something to the keeper.
"That put me off as I thought he was telling him where I was going to put it.

"I decided to change my mind which I should not have done as it was a terrible penalty."
Baxter added the keeper made a good save but, luckily, the ball came out and I managed to tap it in.
"When I saw the keeper land on the ball I definitely thought I had missed it and he was going to catch it. As I was running in, I thought please stay there and lucky for me it did," he explained.
