Campaign comes to Boundary Park

And they will be at Boundary Park on Saturday to hand out leaflets and offer advice at the npower League One match against Shrewsbury Town.

Oldham NHS Community Tissue Viability Service have implemented a pressure ulcer awareness campaign called “Your Turn”.

The campaign is to raise public awareness of the impact of pressure ulcers and to highlight that pressure ulcers (bed sores) do not just occur in old people who are bed bound.

The Tissue Viability Service will work closely with other health professionals, including district nurses, nursing and residential care homes, care agencies, patients and carers.

The aim is to identify people who are at risk and enable pressure ulcers to be avoided by early intervention strategies.

and what to do if they have any concerns. Also they wish to make as many members of the public, who care for someone in the community, aware of the first signs of pressure damage to the skin

The Tissue Viability Service can be contacted on 0161 621 7113.

Further information on the “Your Turn” campaign can be obtained via.org.ukturn-yourwww.
