Harry's Quick off the mark

Harry Quick scored a hat trick for Latics' under-12's who triumphed 9-7 in a remarkable match against Wrexham.

There were two goals apiece for Tyrese Sinclair and Sheldon Renshaw while Mohammed Jahed and Kai Hilton also got on to the scoresheet.

It was a remarkable game in which Latics twice squandered the lead before snatching victory.

Latics were 6-5 behind early in the final quarter before they produced a decisive four-goal flurry.

THE under-16's triumphed 2-1 against Wrexham after an evenly-contested game.

Emile Tancinda put Latics ahead midway through the opening half with a good finish and a header from Jack Tuohy doubled the advantage in the second period.

Wrexham halved the deficit near the end after a defensive mistake.

Latics had chances to win by a wider margin but Wrexham could also had their moments as Latics' keeper Luke Brabin pulled off several important saves.

GOALS from Alex Read and a Jack Roberts penalty gave Latics under-15's a 2-0 win against Wrexham.

Alex Read opened the scoring with a fine solo effort as he drove through the Wrexham defence and past two challenges before scoring.

Wrexham were denied an equaliser as Latics' keeper Elliot Wynne made a penalty save.

Latics were also awarded a spot kick when Callum Hughes was fouled and Roberts sealed victory from 12 yards.

MASON Fallon and Tom Greenhalgh scored for the under-14's who lost 4-2 to Wrexham.

Latics were 1-0 ahead before losing their way and trailing 4-1.

Under-13's player Harrison Wroe played well for Latics.

THE under-10's held the lead three times before losing 7-3 to Wrexham after a disappointing last two quarters.

Ben Fox, Niall Dolan and a trialist were Latics' goalscorers.

THE under-nine's had four-versus-four games against Wrexham and the local youngsters kept hold of the ball well and gave a positive account of themselves.
