Striker to visit hospital
Matt Derbyshire will today have an x-ray on his injured ribs.The in-form striker (pictured) received a painful kick during last night's npower League One defeat at Carlisle United.
Derbyshire, who has scored four goals for Latics during his loan spell from Nottingham Forest, failed to reappear for the second half and Paul Dickov later revealed the cause of his absence.
Latics' manager explained that Derbyshire will be visiting hospital for an x-ray and they are keeping fingers crossed it is not serious.
