Home is away for Latics

Youth team host Silkmen

Latics under-18's play hosts to Macclesfield Town tomorrow, though the Football League Youth Alliance, North West Conference fixture is a home one for the Silkmen.

The match takes place at Chapel Road, kick off 11am, but will still be classified as a home game for Macclesfield.

The Silkmen cannot play at home because their Moss Rose ground is needed for a FA Cup tie tomorrow afternoon.

Latics, who will play in their tangerine away playing strip, have a depleted back line as they will be without Luke Simpson, Joe Cooper and Tomos Clarke.

Goalkeeper Simpson has damaged a ligament in his shoulder in training, Cooper has been injured long term while Clarke is away with Wales under-17's.

Chris Sutherland is on first-team duty while Haydn Foulds is also ruled out through injury.

Head of Youth Tony Philliskirk will have to call a number of schoolboys into the squad.
