Shaw strike snatches point
A late goal from Kim Shaw rescued a point for Oldham Athletic Ladies who snatched a 4-4 draw against Uppermill FC Ladies
Indeed, it was a good point for Latics bearing in mind they were 3-0 down inside the first 12 minutes of their Greater Manchester Women's Football League, Division One match.
Kim Shaw pulled a goal back for Latics after 14 minutes with a shot from outside the box that dipped over the Uppermill goalkeeper.
Latics started to move the ball around far better and five minutes before half time Shelby Newton beat the 'keeper on her near post after cutting in from the right to reduce the deficit to 3-2 at the break.
The second half started as the first had ended with Latics having most off the play.
Danielle Martin drew Latics level after 78 minutes when she chipped the Uppermill 'keeper.
Within a minute Uppermill were back in the lead after a defensive mix up.
Latics pushed forward trying to level the game again but chances continued to go begging.
Just before full time Shaw let fly with a speculative shot from 25 yards which flew past the keeper.
A disappointing display by Latics who, despite being without five players, should still have had enough to beat Uppermill.

Latics can try again against Uppermill on Sunday when the two teams meet in the first round of the Open Age League Cup. The match takes place at Uppermill Sports Club (OL3 6HF), kick off 1pm.
