Kidderminster to roll out carpet

Latics will be heading for Kidderminster, a town renowned for the carpet industry, in the first round of the FA Cup with Budweiser.

They will be taking on the Harriers at Aggborough over the weekend of November 3rd/4th.

Harriers have been a non-league team for most of their history apart from a five-year spell in the Football League between 2000/05.

They are currently languishing in the bottom four relegation places in the Blue Square Bet Premier.

However, that does not tell the story of their campaign as they are currently enjoying a rich vein of form.

Harriers lost their first five league fixtures and then drew each of their next five.

They registered their first league win at their 11th attempt.

However, in their last six competitive matches they have won four and drawn one.

And they reached the first round of the FA Cup yesterday following a 4-2 win at Grimsby Town.

They are managed by Steve Burr, the former Macclesfield Town legend and ex-Stalybridge Celtic manager.

Players with League experience include Keith Briggs, Danny Pilkington, Ricky Shakes and Steve Guinan.
