Mellor, Millar star for Magpies
David Mellor and Kirk Millar played starring roles in Chorley's 5-1 home win against Frickley Athletic in Evo-Stik League, Premier Division.Left-back Mellor (pictured) provided assists for two of the goals while winger Millar also supplied the cross for another.
"It is great for both of them because on Saturday they would have been watching the game had they still been here. They would have been sat in their tracksuits, but instead they were playing. You cannot beat three o'clock on a Saturday having a game to look forward to," explained Paul Dickov.
Latics' manager added that Chorley manager Garry Flitcroft had told him the attitude of both players has been top class which is a credit to them.
Chorley are in action tomorrow with a league match at Matlock Town.
