Gig at The Junction on Saturday
The Junction, Ripponden Road, is hosting a charity gig this Saturday, after the Coventry game, to raise funds towards the Boundary Park to Bramall Lane Walk, which is taking place overnight on October 12/13 to raise funds for The Meningitis Trust.
Local acts, Porter's Forces, Northern Scene, Faraday and Ryan Jarvis have agreed to play the gig free of charge.
There is a suggested donation of £3 per person and the fun begins at 7pm.
The Meningitis Trust is a charity close to Latics' hearts after the recent deaths of teenager season-ticket holder Alex Williams and Cici Holden, the 17-month-old daughter of former player Dean, from the illness.
For the walk, fans will leave Boundary Park at 6pm on the Friday (12th) and arrived at Sheffield United in time for the npower League One match at 3pm on the Saturday.
Dean and Danielle Holden are pictured at the recent Chesterfield v Latics match. Fans of the Spireites have raised over £2,500 in memory of Cici.
