Baxter and Sutherland on bench
It was all change as Latics handed debuts to new signings Reece Wabara and Matt Derbyshire in this afternoon's home match against npower League One leaders Notts County.There were places on the bench for Jose Baxter, another new-boy, as well as second-year scholar Chris Sutherland.
Wabara, signed today on loan from Manchester City, replaced James Tarkowski in defence while Derbyshire partnered Robbie Simpson up front.
Captain Dean Furman also returned from international duty and James Wesolowski after injury to reinforce the midfield as Latics had a new-look side on view at Boundary Park.
The Notts County side included former Latics player Lee Hughes, but former loanee Alan Sheehan was ruled out through injury.
